Guardian writer Neil Clark - must have started on Salient

Neil Clark in the Guardian The return of Arabophobia

Here he is in Pravda: Milosevic, Prisoner of Conscience. Neil Clark raises a lone voice for a man whose worst crime was to carry on being socialist.

A few weeks back there was, quite rightly, considerable criticism of the Italian Prime Minister Berlusconi's attempt at trivialising the brutality of Mussolini. But the Left are not immune to treating the extremists in their own midst with indulgence.

Imagine if The Telegraph published an article by a right-wing extremist who believed that Hitler's only crime was of carrying on being a fascist. Well, you would indeed have to imagine it since they would not publish it. But the centre-Left Guardian often publishes material from the extreme Left.
