Having vented a little spleen at Monbiot's can't-do-anything-unless-it-brings-Utopia form of moral paralysis that is somehow a critique of Bush's foreign policy (I don't remember the Left arguing that we can't throw the Indonesians out of Timor until the Chinese are out of Tibet), some of his arguments are worth taking the time to look at more seriously.
