Two good reasons to vote Labour

Gerry Brownlee and John Tamihere.

On Morning Report Brownlee came across as aggressive and mean spirited whereas Tamihere was all reason and compromise. Tamihere's view of a Royal Commission as where Pakeha can finally have some say in the Treaty process is eminently sensible. His clarification of Labour's position on customary rights as regards the foreshore I found reassuring.

Brownlee did bring up the mystical nonsense surrounding the Treaty "principles". And someone will have to tell the Waitangi Tribunal that they do not run the country.
