Biology, History & Politics

Following on from the theme in the post below is this from Gene Expression - Up from ignorance
Historical narratives tend to focus on macrosociology, if they give any weight to social history at all. I think a rooting in psychology, anthropology and biology are crucial to getting the full picture.
Its an interesting idea that our knowledge of biology, and in particular evolutionary psychology, can shed light on History. History being Politics.

Most political debate on the Left is framed in the context of History. Race relations in New Zealand, the conflict in Israel/Palestine etc. Its partly a legacy of the Left's Marxist tradition.

But these historical narratives don't provide an uncontroversial Truth.
