Other people's minds

From Foreign Dispatches something to get the brain going -

Fascinating Puzzle

There's a slight spoiler in the following comments so go no further before looking at the puzzle if you want to do that.

The ability to consider what's going on in other people's minds is so intrinsic to how we socialise that it often goes without mention. It seems like such an obvious thing to be able to do that surely it is a skill that comes as part of our general intelligence.

But in fact it is a specific ability that is hard wired in the brain. There are conditions such as autism where this ability is abscent. It is also linked with language development.

Its a point worth considering when looking at politics.
