100,000? The answer is no

Fred Kaplan over at Slate takes apart the Lancet study into Iraqi deaths. Pretty much what I concluded.

The Lancet editor has said that the study was rushed through peer review in order to appear prior to the election. The study's author has said the timing of the study's release was deliberate.

So what we have is a study of dubious merit being deliberately used to mislead the public so as to influence an election.

So much for liberals' respect for facts.
