Genes and Public Policy

A New York Times op-ed - The Behavior of Genes - provides a good summary of the state of play in the Nature/Nurture debate and asks some important questions -
...what if genetic profiling - determining the sequence of some or all of an individual's genes - were used to help predict behavior? How would genetic profiling be used, say, in education, insurance, medicine and employment, when it appears that what's especially important for behavior is what genes do, rather than who they are?
